On Feb. 14, faculty and students from Eastern Oklahoma State College attended a Higher Ed day at the State Capitol.

“Eastern students and staff helped promote the value of Oklahoma’s colleges and universities and shared their stories with legislators during Higher Ed Day at the State Capitol on Tuesday,” Lucas Hedgecock, Student Activities and Housing Coordinator, said.

“Students, faculty and staff from Oklahoma’s public colleges and universities came together today at our State Capitol to highlight the value of a college degree.”

Students then had the opportunity to visit with Sen. Warren Hamilton, Rep. Justin Humphrey, Rep. Jim Grego, Rep. Eddie Dempsey, Rep. David Smith, Rep. Randy Randleman and Rep. Kevin Wallace. Higher Ed day is held once a year and expresses the importance of higher education in the state.
