The clubs and organizations on campus are having to deal with this pandemic just like the rest of the world. The clubs are having to consider how to handle things on and off campus.  At the moment, a lot of the meetings for the groups are being held through Zoom or off campus. IHowever,  a lot of groups have canceled activities as well.

“Due to COVID-19, Eastern does not plan to host any large campus events or activities this fall,” says Trish McBeath, Vice President of Student and External Affairs. “This includes large student organization-sponsored activities and events of more than 10 people.”

According to McBeath, all organization and club sponsors need to contact Bryan Denny if they are planning activities. “All organization and club meetings must follow campus policies, including face coverings and social distancing requirements.

“We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation. We may decide to allow events if conditions change and we can do so safely.”This semester will be a journey for all on the campus and especially for groups that are trying to figure out what they can and can’t do.
