Eastern scholars honored in Wilburton

On Sept. 19,  Eastern hosted the annual scholarship reception on the Wilburton campus. Eastern President Dr. Janet Wansick started the reception with a welcome speech for all of the families that had traveled. Teresa Brady, Executive Director for Foundation/ Alumni Relations, also welcomed everyone and acted as host for the event.
Caitlin Hirst a sophomore soccer player from England, gave a few words thanking the foundation for awarding her all of the opportunities that her scholarships have given her. After Hirst’s speech, Brett Hoffman a sophomore on the meat judging team thanked his fellow students and the faculty at Eastern.

Joshua Vega was introduced to speak he was awarded the Sapphire Ball  Endowment. After the three recipients were introduced Teresa Brady gave the closing remarks and after that there was a drawing for multiple door prizes.
