Student activities and events are plentiful as classes resume

By NICHOLAS DUNBAR, Staff Writer

Coming back to school can be a tedious and stressful time. Luckily, there are plenty of activities students can participate in to have some fun and pass the time and numerous clubs to join.

Some events that happened withing the first few weeks of the semester include the Mountaineer coaches show, ice cream social, and poetry series events.

On Monday, August 28th The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) held its meeting in the C.C. Dunlap Field House at 9:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend and join your fellow Christian community.

The Math and Science Club had their first meeting of the semester in Sullivan Hall Room 102 on Aug. 30 from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. The club is free to join, and all are encouraged to attend regardless of major.

The ADA+ Committee hosted a screening of Autism Goes to College on Sept. 7 in the Johnnie Ray Theater in Pratt Hall. This documentary spreads awareness of autistic students going to college. If you missed any of these activities, there will be plenty more things to do on campus throughout the semester. The Student Activities Center and Student Support Services are already planning many more exciting upcoming events.
