Forget matching costumes and make a Spooky Basket

By JOURNEY DEES-WEST, Staff Writer

The beginning of October starts everyone’s favorite holiday season — three months in a row of the best celebrations of the year.

‘‘Tis the season for giving, and what better way to give than in the form of a gift basket that can be filled with the best seasonal goodies? That’s right, Spooky Baskets. Thanks to Twitter, Spooky Baskets have been trending since last year. In fact, they could be called the new version of a classic Valentine, or just a hip new way to show someone appreciation.

Anything can go into a Spooky Basket from Halloween candies, to a new scary movie, all the way to a candle or some goofy seasonal décor. If you are all out of ideas, you can also find some inspiration on YouTube. Forget matching costumes this year and instead go for something a little more thoughtful.

P.S. If any of our readers don’t have someone to gift a basket this year, you can always send them to the radio station in Baker Hall addressed to Journey.
